Java & Android Developer (1-2 yrs)

Responsibilities • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance. • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle. • Write well designed, testable, efficient code. • Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications. • Prepare and produce releases of software components. • Work with outside data sources and API's • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance. • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review. Requirements • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject • Proven hands-on Software Development experience with a minimum 1-2 years of experience • Proven working experience in Java and Android development • Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Core Java, Java EE platforms and android • Have published at least one original Android app • Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns. • Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc) • Work with outside data sources and API's • Excellent knowledge of MYSQL database and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate) • Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC) • Experience with test-driven development • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
