• Responsible for creating CADs for print and surface design ( embroidery, bead work) as per buyers brief • To launch the autumn/ winter collection and spring/summer collection • Keep updated with the season’s forecast and color palette. • Attention to the minute details, fabric quality, embroidery, print screen to make the product cost effective. • To understand the technical problems encountered while printing ,weaving and limitations of jacquard • Ensuring products are delivered on time • Negotiating prices, quantities and delivery time scale. • Taking into account customer demand, price, quality and availability before making a decision. • Developing the procurement strategy. • Expand upon design concepts as well as initiate new ideas. • Work in co-ordination with the Design team, Buying house, Direct buyers • Selection of fabric for prints and surfaces, Yarns for woven and knit designs • Responsible for mock sampling of Cushions, Quilts, Throws, Table runner, Tea towels, Bedspread and many other products.
