Merchandiser Beyond Retro is an UK retailer and wholesaler specializing in low to mid-level price range of handbags. To cope with our expansion in India, we would now like to welcome a Merchandiser to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Gandhidham, India. Job Description As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for setting, managing and executing the highest technical standards and specifications for development and production requirements for handbags. To be involved and drive all technical resources, managing all product & ensuring material standards are met. To drive team to accomplish the technical and aesthetic requirements within the budget and holding company's policy of management/organizational structure. You will also need to identify failures in execution/allocation and find solutions to drive product to success. Other responsibilities include: *Coordinate and negotiate cost and delivery for all order placements and ensure orders are executed properly and timely. *Align sources for materials, components to product specifications to allow for best quality and value in the product. *Oversee the process of lay plans to the factory floor *Strong in product construction and engineering skills to oversee product specifications from sample development and production quality. *Work with the design and development teams to perform formal sample review and make necessary edits, comments, updates to product specifications. The designs will be set forth from our UK office. *Ensure all prototypes are delivered on time and in accordance with the requirements from the design and development teams. *Strong negotiation skills time and quality with factories to bring the best quality for the value to the company. *Collaboration achieve the target cost, on time delivery and quality goals. The Successful Applicant To qualify, you will need to prerequisite qualifications for the role are the highest technical skills all across the industry processes, deep design/concept knowledge, strong leadership and master in communication. With at least 5+ years of experience in merchandising.
