Job Description We are seeking an individual with expert level experience with Word Press and Magento to enhance, improve, and implement Word Press and Magento solutions. The ideal candidate will have both architecture and design experience along with hands on development experience and extensive knowledge in JavaScript. We are looking for an individual to evaluate the existing architecture and design and participate in the development and delivery of modifications and enhancements. The candidate must be able to work both independently and as a lead to help mentor / train other application developers so that over time they improve their knowledge with the platform. In addition to a focus on Word Press & Magento, this candidate will also be working with our Shopify ecommerce platform implementing modifications and enhancements to the system. The candidate will be working with an experienced Shopify resource. Candidates must have a passion for technology and a flexible, creative approach to problem solving and have the ability to take technical ownership with respect to design and development changes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Evaluate the existing architecture and design of our content management offerings built on the Word Press & Magento platform and document and recommend changes. • Design, develop and implement changes and enhancements to our existing Word Press & Magento offerings, acting as the technical lead and individual contributor. • Translate functional requirements from business users into sound technical designs that meet business objectives. • Proactively offer solutions to complex technical problems Qualifications • More than 2 years of experience in PHP programming, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Word Press & Magento. • Knowledge in crafting Word Press plug-in and widgets to conform to Word Press coding standards. • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills as needed to mentor team members who are less experienced with Word Press & Magento. • Experience with Shopify development including module installation/setup a plus. • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, Strong initiative, commitment, and a positive, "whatever" it takes attitude.
